Until shooting weddings I found myself preferring primes, especially for portraits and family sessions, and I do use primes during a wedding, (particularly the 85mm for portraits) but soon found I needed the versatility of the 24-70 much more. When photographing weddings I have my lenses I prefer to use, and the one I find myself using a lot, is the 24-70 lens. On this workshop I was very much looking forward to using it with the SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Art lens. I just need to make it happen by using the tools I have to my best ability. My camera is a Nikon D750 and I find this a great camera for both weddings and family shoots. I see light, I see shadow, and I see how a subject might look perfect giving me the perfect image. I know what I want to achieve from the visions I have in my mind. I am not the most technical person, so when it comes to the technical details of photography equipment I am not an expert, and will never pretend to be. But, I am creative. When I saw the a workshop was being held in Venice, I could not resist signing up fast! Being part Italian, and always wanting to visit Venice this was the perfect opportunity for me to not only learn about photographing destination weddings and have the chance to photograph a beautiful newly married couple in such a beautiful setting, but to also explore this wonderful and unusual city!
